[ HOST CLUB ]Rarotonga Bowling Club, Avarua
The Rarotonga Lawn Bowling Club will make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.
Set in the relaxed rhythm of Rarotonga, the club is woven into the fabric of island life. It’s where locals meet, where stories are shared, and where bowls is played not just as a sport, but as something that brings people together.
There’s pride here, in the greens, in the traditions of the game, and in the way visitors are welcomed. You won’t find formality for the sake of it. Instead, you’ll find open smiles, easy conversation and a club that enjoys its competition while never losing sight of what really matters.
Players of all ages and abilities take part.
Some are fiercely competitive. Others are there for the social side. Most are a blend of both! Matches are played with intent, but always with respect. A good bowl is acknowledged. A tight end is appreciated. And afterwards, there’s time to talk it through over a cold beverage.
At the heart of the community.
The club also plays an important role in growing the game across the Cook Islands. Young players are encouraged, regional connections are maintained and the wider bowling community remains strong. It’s a club that honours tradition while looking ahead.
For the Kindred Celebration of Lawn Bowls, there could hardly be a better setting. The Rarotonga Lawn Bowling Club brings together community, culture and competition in a way that feels natural and unforced.
They’re proud of their club. They’re proud of their island. And they’re genuinely looking forward to welcoming you onto their green!
