A full day to ease into island time.
Unwind after your travels, explore the lagoon, visit local cafés or simply relax by the pool. This is your chance to settle in before competition begins.
Tuesday – Bowls Day One
The first day of play begins.
Morning transfer to the Rarotonga Bowling Club, located approximately 15 minutes from the HQ hotel. Enjoy a full morning and early afternoon of bowls, with a light lunch provided and refreshments available at the club.
Mid-afternoon transfer back to your accommodation, leaving the rest of the day free to relax, explore or catch up with friends.
Wednesday – Bowls Day Two
The rhythm of the tournament continues.
Morning transfer to the club for another enjoyable morning and early afternoon of competition. A light lunch will again be provided, with refreshments available throughout the day.
Mid-afternoon transfer back to your accommodation. The evening is yours to enjoy everything Rarotonga has to offer.
Thursday – Island Day
A day at leisure.
You might choose to join one of the popular lagoon cruises, hire a scooter and circle the island, explore local markets, or simply spend the afternoon by the water.
It’s your time to enjoy the culture, hospitality and natural beauty that make Rarotonga so special.
Friday – Bowls Day Three
Back to the green for the third day of competition.
As on previous playing days, you’ll transfer to the club in the morning for a full session of bowls through to early afternoon, with lunch and refreshments provided.
Return to your accommodation mid-afternoon for more sunshine, swimming and shared stories from the day’s play.
Saturday – Final Day & Celebration Evening
The fourth and final day of bowls brings the tournament to its conclusion.
Following the same arrangements as earlier in the week, you’ll enjoy a final morning and early afternoon of competition before transferring back to your accommodation mid-afternoon.
In the early evening, you’ll return to the Rarotonga Bowling Club for a special Island Nite Buffet Dinner. The evening includes:
Island-style buffet dinner
Live band and local entertainment
Presentation of the Kindred Lawn Bowls Awards
After a relaxed and friendly celebration, transfers will return you to your accommodation.
Sunday – Farewell (Or Not Quite)
Time to head home… or perhaps not just yet.
You may choose to extend your stay in Rarotonga or visit nearby Aitutaki to continue your Cook Islands experience.
However you finish the week, you’ll leave with more than just tournament results. You’ll leave with new friendships, shared memories and the unmistakable warmth of island hospitality.
